The construction of new infrastructure including artificial intelligence and 5G will help fuel China's economic growth, said Liu Wei, a member of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, on Thursday.
Liu, who is also chairman and CEO of PCI Tech, a Guangzhou-based AI company, said with technological advancement, China's economy will be of greater resilience and vitality.
According to him, AI has played an active part in helping communities fight the COVID-19 outbreak in China, and the cutting-edge technology will see wider use in more sectors including railway transportation.
