Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region reported 41 new confirmed domestically transmitted COVID-19 cases on Sunday, the regional health commission said Monday.
The 41 confirmed patients were all in the regional capital Urumqi, according to the commission.
The region also saw 38 new asymptomatic cases on Sunday.
By Sunday, Xinjiang had 178 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 170 asymptomatic cases, and 8,795 people were still under medical observation.
