The Chinese mainland reported 17 new imported COVID-19 cases Sunday, bringing the total number of imported cases to 2,499, the National Health Commission said Monday.
Six imported cases were reported in Shanghai, five in Tianjin, two in Fujian and one each in Shanxi, Zhejiang, Guangdong and Shaanxi, the commission said in its daily report.
Among all the imported cases, 2,311 had been discharged from hospitals after recovery, and 188 remained hospitalized, with four in severe conditions, the commission said.
No deaths had been reported from the imported cases.
