China's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin on Monday reiterated China's position on developing Sino-U.S. relations, saying China's always in favor of strengthening communication and dialogue with the U.S. administration.
"We always propose that China and the U.S. should manage differences on the basis of mutual respect and expand cooperation across the board on the basis of mutual benefit," said Wang in response to questions on the 2020 U.S. presidential election.
"We understand the result of the presidential election will be determined following U.S. laws and procedures," Wang said, in response to a question why China hasn't congratulated Joe Biden like some of the world leaders.
"We will respond in accordance with international common practice," Wang said.
