A 7.8-magnitude earthquake jolted the Kermadec Islands of New Zealand at 03:28 a.m. (Beijing Time) after a 7.2-magnitude one shook the same region on Friday, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).
The epicenter, with a depth of 10 km, was monitored at 29.51 degrees south latitude and 177.04 degrees west longitude, said the CENC.
