China will stick to the innovation-driven development strategy and accelerate the building of a modern industrial system during the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-2025) period, according to a government work report submitted Friday to the national legislature for deliberation.
China will uphold the core position of innovation in the country's modernization drive, and take the commitment to independent innovation in science and technology as strategic support to national development, said the report.
