Ten new imported COVID-19 cases were reported Thursday on the Chinese mainland, with five in Shanghai, three in Guangdong and one each in Tianjin and Hunan.
The total number of imported COVID-19 cases reached 5,179 as of Thursday, of whom 5,017 had been discharged from hospitals after recovery and 162 remained hospitalized, the National Health Commission said in its daily report Friday.
No deaths had been reported among the imported cases.
