China announced on Monday that it would extend the tariff exemption for 79 industrial items and commodities from the United States, including rare earth minerals, medical disinfectant and airborne radar for aircrafts, through the end of the year.
The government said that the tariff exemption for the 79 products due to expire on Tuesday would be extended through Dec 25 of this year, according to a notice released by the Customs Tariff Commission of the State Council.
These products were targeted by China's response to U.S. tariffs under Section 301 of the Trade Act of 1974.
