The Chinese central government poured 224 billion yuan (about 35 billion U.S. dollars) between 1951 and 2020 into Tibet's education, according to a white paper issued on Friday.
The southwestern autonomous region now has 3,195 schools of various types hosting more than 790,000 students, said the white paper titled "Tibet Since 1951: Liberation, Development and Prosperity," issued by China's State Council Information Office.
