A Chinese mainland spokesperson on Monday said that the mainland is willing to take swift measures to make COVID-19 vaccines accessible to Taiwan compatriots as soon as possible.
Zhu Fenglian, a spokesperson for the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, made the remarks in response to a media query on the mainland's measures to help Taiwan combat COVID-19.
The mainland is also willing to actively consider sending epidemic prevention and control experts to Taiwan to share the experience in fighting COVID-19 with Taiwan medical personnel if necessary, Zhu added.
Zhu urged Taiwan's Democratic Progressive Party authority to immediately stop vilifying the mainland's efforts to help Taiwan compatriots fight the epidemic and take solid measures to protect people's lives and health on the island.
