A book has been published that aims to help the public better understand the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-25) for National Economic and Social Development and the Long-Range Objectives Through the Year 2035, Xinhua News Agency reported on Thursday.
The book aims to create great synergy in the country's new journey toward the second centenary goal of fully building a modern socialist China.
It was compiled by the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and published by Xuexi Publishing House and the People's Publishing House.
The book features 14 key issues, including how to view the new development phase, how to start the new development path, how to accurately and comprehensively implement the new development concept and how to accelerate the establishment of the new development paradigm.
The Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee has conducted in-depth research on the issues since November, and central Party and government officials and experts conducted thorough discussion and sought out many opinions before finishing the drafts for the book.
Guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, the book has interpreted the key issues with authoritative and accurate views and in popular and easy-to-understand language.
The book can serve as supplementary reading for officials, the public and students. A complementary audio book and a 14-episode cartoon have also been compiled to meet readers' different needs.
