A COVID-19 vaccine developed by Chinese pharmaceutical company CanSino has been recommended by Argentina's health ministry to be used as a booster dose and additional dose in the country, the company said on Monday.
The recombinant vaccine, known as Convidecia, has been recommended by the ministry to be used as a booster dose with a minimum interval of six months after the last dose as the primary regimen for healthcare workers and people over 70, the company said in a statement.
It has also been recommended to be used as an additional dose with a minimum interval of one month after the last dose of the primary regimen in individuals who are immunocompromised and in adults over 50 who were previously vaccinated with inactivated vaccine, the company said.
