China's air travel rebounded during the seven-day Spring Festival holiday although it did not recover to pre-pandemic levels, data from the Civil Aviation Administration of China showed on Monday.
A total of 5.01 million air passenger trips were recorded from Jan. 31 to Feb. 6, up 40.2 percent year on year, the administration said.
Air passenger flow peaked on Feb. 6, with 1.23 million trips made.
The number of flights totaled 62,744 during the Spring Festival holiday, rising 33.3 percent year on year. The punctuality rate reached 97.08 percent, up 0.83 percentage points from a year earlier.
Chinese people usually travel to reunite with their families for the Chinese Lunar New Year, or Spring Festival, which fell on Feb. 1 this year.
