China's Saihanba will leverage technology to achieve high-quality development of its forest farm, An Changming, a delegate to the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, said on Saturday.
Speaking at the "Delegates' Corridor" at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, An, who is the Party secretary of Saihanba Machinery Forest Farm, said details of each tree would be filed and intelligent management of the forest would be conducted.
Saihanba, in north China's Hebei Province, was once a royal hunting ground and degraded into an area of barren wilderness. After generations of foresters' efforts, it has now become a national forest park and nature reserve with a total forest landscape of 1.15 million mu (about 76,700 hectares), as well as the world's largest forest farm.
