China keeps an open mind towards the wishes of U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo to visit the country, and will continue to resort to dialogues to resolve each other's concerns, and promote constructive and pragmatic cooperation, the Ministry of Commerce said in an online statement on Wednesday.
This came in response to media inquiries for comments regarding U.S. Secretary of Commerce Raimondo stating that she is considering visiting China this year.
The ministry said the Chinese side has noted related media reports, and so far, has not received any proposals from the U.S. side on the U.S. secretary of commerce's visit to China.
It is very important for the commercial departments of the two countries to maintain dialogue and communication, the ministry said.
