(ECNS) -- He Xiaodong, vice president of China's e-commerce giant JD.com, announced at a summit on Saturday that the group will release a new generation of ChatJD, positioned as an industry version of ChatGPT this year.
Two months ago, JD Cloud announced it would roll out ChatJD through one platform, two fields, and five applications.
The platform is an intelligent human-computer dialogue platform, which understands and generates tasks in natural language processing. The two fields are retail and finance. The five applications include content generation, human-computer dialogue, user intent understanding, information extraction, and sentiment classification.
The JD large model mainly focuses on four aspects of work: text, voice, dialogue, and digital human generation. For example, in the field of text generation, JD.com started its self-research in 2019, based on the K-PLUG domain model (with 1 billion parameters), to automatically generate varying lengths of product copy for a given stock keeping unit, including product titles (10 characters), selling points (100 characters), and live streaming scripts (500 characters), covering over 2,000 categories of JD's products.
Many other internet giants have also unveiled ChatGPT-like products. Baidu released AI chatbot Ernie Bot on March 16. Tongyi Qianwen, a similar product developed by Alibaba Cloud, was opened for testing on April 7. Tencent Holdings’ Senior Executive Vice President said on March 30 that the firm was also developing a ChatGPT-like chatbot.
