Chinese diplomat to visit Africa as annual first overseas visit

Chinese top diplomat Wang Yi will start a six-day visit to Egypt, Tunisia, Togo and Cote d'Ivoire on Saturday, the 34th consecutive year that Africa has been the destination for Chinese foreign ministers' annual first overseas visit.

According to Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning, Wang will also visit Brazil and Jamaica from January 18 to 22.
