In 2023, 60,700 flights took off and landed in the region, carrying 47,000 metric tons of freight and mail, marking a rise of 63.2 percent and 45.1 percent year-on-year, respectively.
The region's Lhasa Gonggar Airport and Nyingzhi Mainling Airport achieved historic milestones, surpassing 5 million and 600,000 passenger visits, respectively.
The administration's efforts to enhance the route network structure were particularly emphasized throughout the year, featuring the completion of the region's transportation airport route network.
