Chinese Minister of Commerce Wang Wentao met with U.S. Trade Representative Katherine Tai on Monday, during the 13th Ministerial Conference of the World Trade Organization in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates, according to the ministry.
Both sides engaged in professional and in-depth discussions on achieving practical outcomes at the 13th Ministerial Conference, discussing various bilateral economic and trade issues of mutual concern.
Wang also expressed China's serious concerns over U.S. tariffs on China and trade-related issues concerning Taiwan. Vice-Minister of Commerce Li Fei and Chinese Ambassador to the WTO Li Chenggang attended the meeting.
