(ECNS) - China has released a list of 28 civil aviation projects worth a total of 110 billion yuan ($16 billion) now open to private investment.
The projects on the list, released by the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) and the National Development and Reform Commission, included airports, freight logistics, aircraft maintenance, aviation rescue, UAV logistics distribution, and navigation technology.
The projects involved fixed asset investment, the research and development of new technology, and enterprise mixed ownership reform.
A CAAC official said the move will optimize the investment structure in the civil aviation sector, stimulate market vitality, and accelerate research and development in science and technology.
Authorities plan to release a second batch of civil aviation projects aiming to attract private investment as part of efforts to make the sector more globally competitive.
