(ECNS) - Tianjin Airlines will no longer provide free food in economy class for domestic flights starting from Oct. 28 amid a slew of changes to customize the in-flight service.
Passengers can order meals through the airline’s official website, on China's most popular messenger app WeChat or on board.
The new measures also include adjustment to baggage services, abolishing free checked baggage for passengers who bought tickets at more than a 40 percent discount. Passengers who bought tickets for less than a 40 percent discount can have free checked baggage ranging in weight from 10 to 30 kilograms.
A manager of Tianjin Airlines said that the differentiated products with separate pricing and free choices are a breakthrough in the traditional pricing model and allow passengers to enjoy flexible services.
