The 2019 Changsha International Construction Equipment Exhibition (CICEE) under the theme of “Intelligent New Generation of Construction Machinery” opened in Changsha, capital city of Central China's Hunan Province, on Wednesday.
About 1,200 construction machinery enterprises worldwide displayed their technologies and services at the exhibition, including 24 World Top 50 engine companies, such as Caterpillar, John Deere, Terex, Hitachi, Liebherr and Doosan, and 14 World Top 500 accessory companies, such as Exxon Mobil, Igus, and Isuzu.
The CICEE was organized and co-hosted by China Machinery Industry Federation (CMIF), Asia-Pacific CEO Association (APCEO), China Construction Machinery Society (CCMS), Industry and Information Technology Department of Hunan Province, Department of Commerce of Hunan Province, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Hunan sub-council and Changsha Municipal Government.
The total CICEE exhibition area covers 213,000 square meters, consisting of 108,000 square meters of indoor and 105,000 square meters of outdoor exhibition areas. More than 22 percent of the exhibitors were from abroad.
Not only did leading industry giants gather at the CICEE, but also tens of thousands of international businessmen came from America, Britain, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Korea, etc. In addition, 11 international associations and chambers of commerce including those of America, Spain, Australia, Britain, India, Korea and Malaysia all came to this event. It’s worth noting that more than 40 ambassadors to China and commercial counselors from countries along the "Belt and Road Initiative" attended the exhibition as well. It is estimated that over 150,000 people visited Changsha for this grand event.
Being a vital joint point at Yangtze River Economic Zone, Changsha is China’s 14th city whose GDP has surpassed 1 trillion yuan. At present, construction machinery industry has become one of the most competitive pillar industries in Changsha. There are over 30 large-scale construction machinery manufacturers and more than 200 accessory supply companies. The total production value of the industry accounts for 23 percent of the national figure. Seventy percent types of construction machinery products can be found in Changsha. Its products have covered over 160 countries and regions, quickly forming a world-class construction machinery industry cluster.
