(ECNS) -- A chocolate 3D printer that delivers a new level of personalization for the sweet treat is captivating shoppers on a street in Harbin, Northeast China's Heilongjiang Province.
A self-service vending machine is wowing chocoholics with the option to make their own chocolates in different styles, while also allowing customized words and patterns.
The process is simple. Customers scan the QR code on the machine with their WeChat app and decide their design, whether in the shape of a piglet, a Pokémon or an octopus. After paying, they place a white tray in the machine to retrieve their own individualized chocolate.
It is reported that the machine will eventually include a variety of ingredients for different printable foods, providing more choices for customers to make their personal favorites.
Wang Jingjing, a local resident, said the chocolate doesn't taste different from other options on the market. However, it's lots of fun to create a personalized design, which also makes it a good gift choice for friends and family.
