(ECNS) -- More than 4,500 professional contestants from around the world will compete at the 2019 World Robot Conference scheduled for Aug. 20 to 25, according to organizers.
There will be four contests and a series of exhibitions for new technologies and products at this year's event. About 200 guests from 22 countries will share the latest developments in robotics.
Now in its fifth year, the conference enjoys an expanding global reputation in robotics, attracting nearly 40,000 participants in the global tryouts.
Xu Xiaolan, vice president of the Chinese Institute of Electronics, said the event will focus on the application of robots in various industries with displays of products and research.
Themed "Intelligent Ecosystem for a New Open Era," the conference is jointly organized by the Beijing municipal government, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and China Association for Science and Technology.
