(ECNS) -- Chinese lawmakers on Thursday reviewed the third draft section of personality rights of the civil code in panel discussions at a session of the National People's Congress (NPC) Standing Committee.
The new draft included email and physical addresses, which can be used to identify a person, into the scope of personal information.
It said information regarding a person's name, birth date, ID, biometric data, address, phone number, and email and physical addresses will come under legal protection.
