(ECNS) -- Universal Beijing Resort, a Universal theme park, will open in 2021 in the southeastern area of the capital city.
It will cover 280 hectares upon completion and become the fifth and largest Universal Studios-branded theme park in the world as well as the third Universal park in Asia, following Universal Studios Japan and Universal Studios Singapore.
The park will feature attractions themed primarily on Universal-owned movies, TV shows, animation and music, as well as licensed properties from other companies.
Located in Beijing's Tongzhou district, the Universal Beijing Resort will debut two hotels, the Universal Studios Grand Hotel and the NUO Resort Hotel.
