(ECNS) -- China aims to establish a comprehensive modern transport system by 2035, composed of high-speed railways, expressways and civil aviation, according to a guideline released by the CPC Central Committee and State Council.
China plans to form extensive transport networks with wider coverage and higher speeds, according to the guideline. Cities will essentially address traffic congestion by 2035 and build up barrier-free travel service systems.
Domestically, the country will build up a rapid travel circle to limit travel times within cities, between neighboring cities and cities nationwide to one hour, two hours and three hours, respectively.
China also aims to improve its logistics network, with goals for packages to be delivered in one day anywhere across the county, and shipped in two days to neighboring countries, and three days across the world.
Efforts will be made to improve integrated transportation means as well as steer industry development to be “smart, safe, green and sharing” through the application of big data, artificial intelligence, blockchain and supercomputing.
