(ECNS) -- A female competitor from the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) won the title at the 28th World Memory Championships held in Wuhan, central China's Hubei Province, after four days of contest.
Ryu Songyoung set three world records. In the One Hour Numbers, she memorized 4,620 random numbers in 60 minutes, breaking the previous world record of 3,260.
Wei Qinru of China, last year's champion, won the silver medal.
More than 500 brain masters from more than 40 countries and regions competed in 10 memory events.
This contest broke six world records, including Binary Numbers, One Hour Numbers, Historic /Future Dates, One Hour Cards, Random Words and Spoken Numbers.
The 28th World Memory Championships 2019 Global Finals concluded on Sunday, and next year's championships will take place in India.
