(ECNS)--Armenian and Chinese citizens will soon be able to travel or transit in the host country's territory for up to 90 days within a period of 180 days without a visa, according to the Chinese Embassy in Armenia.
China and Armenia signed an agreement mutually lifting visa requirements last May that will take effect on Jan. 19, 2020.
Any stay over 90 days or for the purposes of work or study will require a visa application in advance.
Some 8,500 Chinese citizens visited Armenia in 2018, according to official Armenian data.
