(ECNS) -- The People's Bank of China, the central bank, will issue a set of coins on Thursday to commemorate the 70th anniversary of diplomatic ties between China and Pakistan, according to a statement from the bank.
The set contains one gold coin and one silver coin. Both are legal tender that features the national emblem and the year of issuance on one side.
The reverse side of the gold coin is inscribed with a logo marking the 70th anniversary of diplomatic ties between China and Pakistan, “1951-2021.” The reverse side of the silver coin features the Temple of Heaven in China and the Lahore Castle in Pakistan.
The gold coin contains eight grams of pure gold and has a face value of 100 yuan ($15.43), while the silver coin contains 30 grams of pure silver with a face value of 10 yuan.
A maximum of 3,000 gold coins and 10,000 silver coins will be issued.
