The 300 TEU Zhi Fei is 110 meters in length, 15 meters in width, and 10 meters in depth, with a maximum speed of 12 knots. It is the world's largest intelligent container ship under construction.

Zhi Fei was developed by Navigation Brilliance (Qingdao) Technology in conjunction with the China Waterborne Transport Research Institute.

According to Liu Bo, deputy director of the Qingdao Maritime Safety Administration, the Zhi Fei is equipped with three driving modes - manned driving, remote driving, and unmanned driving, which enables it to realize the intelligent perception of the navigation environment, independent route planning, intelligent collision avoidance, and remote control driving.

Zhi Fei is instructive for the formulation of standards and regulations concerning the construction of intelligent ships in China, and offers an experience for the development of future intelligent shipping, Liu said.
