(ECNS) -- A video of a woman doing somersaults, handstands, and other martial arts movements has gone viral on Weibo, a social media platform in China.
Born in Shangqiu, a city in central China's Henan Province, the woman, whose family name is Gao, has restarted her martial arts practice after quitting 30 years ago.
According to Gao, she had practiced martial arts with her father for 15 years since the age of six. However, she just didn’t have enough time to keep it up after she was married.
Kung Fu, acrobatics, and other swordsmanship disciplines are among her favorite.
“I have a martial arts dream,” she said, “I have to practice it, before I get too old.”
Gao said she felt uncomfortable when she started practicing martial arts again. But things turned out for the better after a few days.
After Gao’s vlog of practicing martial arts went viral, netizens nicknamed her “Martial arts heroine”, which has given her confidence. Now, many people in her hometown know she practices martial arts, with a martial arts club in Puyang, another city in Henan Province, even inviting her to be its coach.
