(ECNS) -- The average female life expectancy in China has exceeded 80 years, according to the report on China National Program for Women's Development (2011-2020) released by the country's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) Tuesday.
The average life expectancy of Chinese citizens has kept increasing since China was listed as a country of longevity in 2000. Chinese women's average life expectancy has risen to 79.43 years in 2015 from 77.37 in 2010. And in 2020, the number grew to 80.88.
China's average female life expectancy ranks 62 in 184 countries, according to the World Population Prospects 2020 released by the United Nations (UN), four years longer than the average level of the world.
