(ECNS) -- Every village will be accessible to delivery in rural areas across China in 2022, according to the State Post Bureau of China.
Unlike big cities, difficulties such as high costs and long distribution periods due to remote location have long impeded logistics network establishment in rural areas. Now smart technologies will help solve these problems.
In order to sell agricultural products and specialties, Anyuan County in Jiangxi Province has established a logistics system at all levels. The main logistics warehouse in urban areas, township-level bases and village-level receipt and distribution stations, together with smart village routes, have formed an intelligent logistics service network.
Relying on such a logistics network, local villagers have started e-commerce businesses and increased their income.
At a station in Yangjia village, Hezi Town, Anyuan County, local products can be delivered to the township-level e-commerce operation center by shuttle robots and then sold to different places from there.
Technologies like shuttle robots have met the demand for instant delivery of small-batch and multi-batch goods, and solved the "last mile" logistics problem in rural areas.
