(ECNS) -- Masks with a hand-drawn image of a cute Bing DwenDwen have caught the eye of international journalists at National Biathlon Center during Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics.
With popular Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics mascot Bing Dwen Dwen in short supply in the closed-loop, Han Zhebin, a volunteer from Yanshan University who works for the event came up with the idea of cute hand-drawn panda image masks to entertain panda fans.
The mask features Bing Dwen Dwen holding a biathlon rifle, indicating one of the two sports of the Biathlon event.
"I hope that in this way, journalists from all over the world can experience the enthusiasm and friendship of our volunteers," said Han.
"Cross-country skiing and shooting take place here at the National Biathlon Center. So, I think a panda holding an air gun is more meaningful," Han added.
Since the Opening Ceremony on Feb. 4, the chubby panda Bing DwenDwen has become all the rage on social media, with themed items favored around the globe.
