Chinese delegation to World Economic Forum slandered by CNN report

(ECNS) -- The Chinese delegation to the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting 2022 says it was slandered Monday by CNN’s report on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

In the report, CNN quoted a U.S. politician as saying that the Chinese delegation left without a standing ovation after Zelenskyy delivered a speech at the WEF.

The Chinese delegation declared that the report is completely untrue.

The Chinese delegation to the WEF told Xinhua News that they were meeting with Fatih Birol, executive director of the International Energy Agency when Zelenskyy addressed the meeting.

The annual meeting 2022 of the World Economic Forum officially began in the Swiss town of Davos on Monday, focusing on four major challenges: geopolitical risks, pandemics, climate change, and global economic risks.
