(ECNS) -- As another 24,373 people got vaccinated on Sunday, nearly 60 percent of citizens in Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) have received their booster shot against COVID-19, according to the official website of Hong Kong newspaper Wen Wei Po.
A total of 19,511 of the 24,373 citizens got the third shot and 1,005, the fourth on Sunday.
As of 8 p.m. Sunday, the HKSAR has administered about 17.24 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines.
About 4.059 million Hong Kong citizens have got their third dose, accounting for 59.8 percent of the eligible persons under Hong Kong’s COVID-19 vaccination program, and 117 thousand people, the fourth dose.
