Beijing ground public transport network starts automatic health code verification

(ECNS) -- Beijing ground public transport networks have started automatic verification of health code since Wednesday, except for the bus routes that were temporarily suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

A total of 1,402 bus routes which run normally in Dongcheng, Xicheng, Chaoyang, Haidian, Fengtai and Shijingshan, and 333 bus routes in Shunyi, Daxing, Changping, Pinggu, and Miyun would begin automatic health code verification on Wednesday for passengers who swipe cards or QR codes to take the bus, said the Beijing Municipal Commission of Transport on Tuesday.

The Beijing Municipal Commission of Transport reminded passengers to upgrade their cards or QR codes for buses as soon as possible. They must also have the negative result proof of nucleic acid testing for COVID-19 within 72 hours when taking a bus.
