(ECNS) -- The Kanas Resort received a total of 153,361 domestic and foreign tourists in Atlay region, Northwest China’s Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, during the Eid al-Adha holiday, which lasted from July 9 to 13, said local authorities Thursday.
Clear water, green mountains, dense forests, and a gorgeous lake form a picturesque view of the resort. “Kanas Lake is beautiful, and the scenic spots are well-equipped. Restrooms are very clean,” said a tourist from South China’s Shenzhen.
The Altay region has introduced several measures, including music festivals and self-driving tour activities, to promote local tourism.
To cope with the tourist peak, the Kanas Scenic Area has increased the number of shuttle buses, extended their operation time and provided more consultation and volunteer services.
Eid al-Adha is the most important Muslim feast. It is also known as the festival of sacrifice.
