(ECNS) -- China had more than 190 million internet users aged under 18 by the end of 2021, accounting for 96.8 percent of the country's total juveniles, according to a report on China's internet use among juveniles.
The report released by the China Internet Network Information Center on Wednesday revealed that China's juvenile internet penetration rate hit 96.7 percent in urban areas, and 97.3 in rural areas.
Juveniles get access to the internet at younger ages, the report said. In 2021, the Internet penetration rate of elementary students in China reached 95.0 percent, an increase of 2.9 percent from 2020.
