(ECNS) -- South China's Nanning, a Chinese city adjacent to ASEAN countries, is promoting integrated development of cross-border industry, with trade volume among RCEP members hitting 41.69 billion yuan in the first ten months, a year-on-year increase of 39.7 percent, an official said on Wednesday.
Since the beginning of this year, there are a total of 82 branches of the top 500 groups in the World and China registered in the Nanning area of China (Guangxi) pilot free trade zone. Besides, 109 new financial institutions and enterprises settled in China-ASEAN Financial City, bringing the total number to 394.
Besides, the city keeps promoting high-quality development of cross-border e-commerce. The Nanning Cross-border E-commerce Comprehensive Pilot Zone has traded a total of 11.03 billion yuan in cross-border e-commerce import and export in the first ten months this year, an increase of 93.3 percent year-on-year.
Nanning has actively built an international aviation and railway hub. At present, Nanning Wuxu International Airport serves 6 RCEP members, including Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Indonesia.
