Winter agriculture fair in Hainan attracts nearly $3 billion order

(ECNS) -- The four-day 2022 China (Hainan) International Winter Trade Fair For Tropical Agricultural came to an end in south China's Hainan on Sunday, with 16 investment promotion projects signed at the fair, accounting for 20.5 billion yuan ($2.94 billion), a year-on-year increase of more than 26 times.

The fair has attracted over 80,000 visitors, with the accumulated on-site order volume of 2.431 billion yuan. The accumulated on-site transaction volume reached over 10 million yuan, of which the online transaction volume was nearly 5.39 million yuan, and the offline transaction volume, about 4.77 million yuan, said Lin Moxie, deputy director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Hainan Province.

The fair, China's only exhibition of tropical agriculture during the winter, has been held for 24 consecutive sessions, serving as an important platform for showcasing agricultural development in Hainan and facilitating related exchanges and cooperation.

With the theme of "Promoting high-quality agricultural development and comprehensively implementing the rural vitalization strategy", the event has set up 10 exhibition areas, and more than 2,000 types of agricultural products from 1,200 enterprises in 18 provinces were on show in the exhibition.
