China's civil aviation industry poised to reach 75% of pre-pandemic level: CAAC

(ECNS) -- China aims to revive its civil aviation industry to 75 percent of the pre-pandemic level this year, with the total volume of flight transport turnover reaching 97.6 billion ton-kilometers, the air passenger transport volume 460 million trips, and airport cargo and mail throughput 6.17 million tons, working to achieve profit and loss balance, according to the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) on Friday.

In 2022, the total volume of flight transport turnover in China was 59.93 billion ton-kilometers, air passenger transport volume 250 million trips, airport cargo and mail throughput 6.076 million tons, or 46.3 percent, 38.1 percent, 80.7 percent of the pre-pandemic level, respectively, data from CAAC said.
