China's C919 receives 1,035 orders: report

(ECNS) -- As of the end of 2022, China's first homegrown C919 large passenger plane had netted a total of 1,035 orders from 32 customers, according to a report released by Science and Technology Commission of Shanghai Municipality on Tuesday

The plane, developed by the Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC), was granted a certificate of airworthiness in September 2022 and won the production certificate (PC) in November by the country's aviation regulator, the Civil Aviation Administration of China.

The plane was delivered to China Eastern Airlines in Shanghai in December and is expected to be put into commercial operation this spring.
