Chinese tax authorities uncover six tax evasion cases by entertainers, online influencers in 2022

(ECNS) -- The State Taxation Administration of China on Tuesday said it has revealed six cases of tax evasion cases by entertainers and online influencers in 2022.

According to the regulator, a total of 716 cases involving value-added tax (VAT) credit refund defraud have been exposed last year.

And there were 22 cases of falsely issuing invoices and defrauding export tax rebates and 10 cases of violating laws and regulations by tax-related intermediaries and their employees in 2022.
