(ECNS) -- Personal information leakage was the most annoying issue for consumers in China, accounting for 37.3 percent of all issues raised, according to the latest survey on consumption problems in 2023 released by the China Consumers Association on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, 28.3 percent of the respondents believe that waste in consumption (such as food waste) is a significant problem, while 26.6 percent think that the frequent spread of online rumors is a prominent issue.
The survey also reveals that consumers are more willing to protect their rights. Of those who have filed for consumer rights, nearly 80 percent are satisfied with the outcome.
Overall, more than 80 percent of respondents expressed satisfaction with China's domestic consumer environment, and the majority acknowledged consumer supervision and regulation.
