(ECNS) -- China has conducted a successful trial run of Asia’s largest test stand for high-thrust liquid-propellant rocket engine, according to its developer on Monday.
Developed by the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation(CASC) in Tongchuan of Shaanxi Province, the test stand is designed with two working positions and can bear a thrust of 700 metric tons, the largest in Asia. It has modular, flexible, and digital testing capabilities, and can simultaneously fulfill testing tasks for multiple types of engines.
The success marks a significant breakthrough in the development China's liquid rocket engine infrastructure, with a substantial improvement in testing capabilities, the CASC said.
After the stand is put into use, it will ensure the implementation of major projects such as China's heavy-lift launch vehicles, manned moon landings, deep space exploration, round trips between Earth and space, and space infrastructure construction, providing strong support for accelerating the construction of a space power, the CASC said.
