(ECNS) -- The number of inbound and outbound passengers during the five-day May Day Holiday in China is expected to triple the amount from the same period last year, according to the National Immigration Administration (NIA).
The peak number at all ports in China will exceed 1.3 million per day, with a daily average of 1.2 million, according to the administration.
It is expected that the peak passenger flow will be seen on Friday, the eve of the May Day holiday, as well as the first day and the last day.
The NIA is making every effort to ensure smooth entry and exit of Chinese citizens to guarantee that the waiting time for customs clearance will not exceed 30 minutes.
