(ECNS) -- The Chinese Foreign Ministry said on Friday that there's nothing constructive about limiting exports to China in the name of reducing dependency.
Economic and trade cooperation is mutually beneficial, and China is an important market for semi-conductors, said Mao Ning, a spokeswoman for the ministry, at the daily news briefing.
She stressed that such acts will only end up hurting others as well as oneself and disrupt global industrial and supply chains.
“We hope relevant countries will respect market economy laws, uphold rules, proceed from their own interests, and work together with China to safeguard the international economic and trade order and foster an open world economy,” she added.
