(ECNS) -- China plans to launch the Tianzhou-6 cargo spacecraft from the Wenchang Spacecraft Launch Site in southern China's Hainan Province at 9:22 p.m. Beijing Time on Wednesday, the China Manned Space Agency announced.
Compared to its predecessor Tianzhou-5, the Tianzhou-6 cargo spacecraft boasts a significant increase in weight, providing additional storage space and capacity.
It will carry 70 kilograms of fresh fruit to space, and some zongzi, or glutinous rice dumplings, for the upcoming Duanwu Festival (or Dragon Boat Festival), according to Li Zhihui, deputy commander-in-chief of the cargo spacecraft system.
